Check-In

What is one new learning you've gained thus far in the school year? (yourself, students, your team, your school....?)

  1. I think I have gained more perspective on what my job entails and how important it is to ask for help when you need it. I have really enjoyed working with the non at-risk students, but I definitely have had to adapt to meet the needs of this group in comparison to what I did last year.

  2. This year I have learned that sometimes I just need to set things aside and wait to come back to them later. I used to get myself so stressed out about things, but I have realized in order to keep my sanity I just need to take a deep breath, set the problem aside and re-visit it later.

  3. I've learned that although great changes are needed in our department and our building, those changes, whether large or small, aren't being made. We can only be as good as our leadership, in my opinion.

  4. I have learned that I will always be busy with planning and improving my lessons. I thought that by year three, I would have everything set and good to go. I was very wrong because I spend just as much time improving my lessons and researching better practice as I did creating lessons my first year.
